NAAFI around the world — an interactive map

A new feature has been added to the Sutlers Supreme.

“NAAFI around the world” is an interactive map inspired by a striking illustration from NAAFI Reports: 50 Years of Service, which sought to capture the global reach of NAAFI activity between 1921 and 1970.

The original image presents this story in a single view. The map now offers a modern interpretation, allowing the viewer to explore that reach geographically — from Europe and the Mediterranean to Africa, the Middle East and beyond.

At present, the map identifies countries and territories where a NAAFI presence has been recorded. Over time, this will be expanded with detailed location entries, drawing together material from across the Sutlers Supreme archive, including photographs, postcards and contemporary accounts.

This is very much an ongoing project, but one that I hope will develop into a useful visual reference for the study of NAAFI, EFI and NCS service.
