A substantial new primary source has been added to The Sutlers Supreme NAAFI Historical Downloads.
War Diary No. 1 HQ RASC/EFI 1952 — Part One: January–March 1952 is now available to read online.
Held by The National Archives under reference WO 281/882, the diary records the day-to-day work of No. 1 HQ RASC/EFI (Royal Army Service Corps/Expeditionary Force Institutes) during the Korean War and provides a contemporary account of the organisation supporting NAAFI operations in Japan and Korea.
Among its pages are records of EFI personnel movements, postings to NAAFI establishments in Korea, supplies and shipping, strength returns, mobile canteens and other equipment moving between Japan and Korea.
This is the first of four parts in which the complete 1952 war diary will be made available through The Sutlers Supreme.
Part One covers January to March 1952 and contains 44 pages. The diary can either be explored page by page in our book-style reader or opened as a PDF.
